Golden Globe Moment: Marlon Brando, Best Actor For On The Waterfront
Let’s go back to the Golden Globe Awards of February 24, 1955, at the Ambassador Hotel’s Cocoanut Grove, in Los Angeles, when Marlon Brando received a Golden Globe as Best Actor of 1954 for Elia Kazan’s On the Waterfront. The following year Brando would be presented with a special award as World Film Favorite-Male.
In the documentary Listen To Me Marlon, Brando’s life and career as narrated by his own voice, recorded over the years as both an intimate diary and a self-hypnosis technique.
