Golden Globes Show Receives Emmy Nomination as Best Variety Special (Live)

The 83rd Annual Golden Globes® has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category, recognizing the creative achievement, innovation, and production excellence behind “Hollywood’s Party of the Year®,” which is also the largest awards show in the world to celebrate the best of film, television, and podcasting.

The Dick Clark Prods. show aired Jan. 11, 2026, on CBS.
After the July 8 announcement of the nomination from the Academy of TV Arts & Sciences, Nikki Glaser said, “Hosting the Golden Globes is the greatest job I may ever have. I am so thrilled that the incredible team behind this massive live production got the nomination they deserve. Thank you to the Television Academy! We are all thrilled that we get to attend and enjoy an award show rather than working our asses off at one!”
Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes, added: “This Emmy nomination is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the extraordinary talent, creativity, and commitment of everyone who helped bring the 83rd Annual Golden Globes to life. From our host Nikki Glaser, to our producers and production partners to our creative teams, presenters, and everyone behind the scenes, this recognition belongs to the many people whose passion and dedication made this year’s show possible. We are grateful to the Television Academy for this incredible honor.”
