In The Favourite, Yorgos Lanthimos’ smart, vastly entertaining period piece, Stone plays Abigail, the penniless cousin of Lady Sarah (Rachel Weisz), who begins as a chambermaid but soon climbs to the upper echelons at the court of  Queen Anne (Olivia Colman).
