Frederic March A fully restored copy of Death Of A Salesman, László Benedek's 1951 film adaption from the play of the same name by Arthur Miller, will premiere on August 9 at the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles as part of the UCLA Film Archives screenings. The HFPA financed the restoration through Martin Scorsese's Film Foundation (TFF) and will host a reception prior to the screening.

The White Queen star Rebecca Ferguson (right) chats with guests The British Consul-General in Los Angeles, Dame Barbara Hay, hosted a reception in the garden of her home for the cast of the Starz TV mini-series The White Queen, Starz executives and HFPA members. The historial drama, set during the Wars of the Roses, is based on the est selling books by Philippa Gregory, who was also at the reception.

  The Japanese superstar musician Yoshiki, who composed the theme to last year's Golden Globes, is releasing a new album, Yoshiki Classical, on September 24.

Golden Globe winner Sacha Baron Cohen won't be portraying the flamboyant Queen singer Freddie Mercury after all. Sacha, who won his Globe in 2007 for the best actor in a musical or comedy for Borat, has left the long-in-the-works project after  reportedly clashing with the remaining members of Queen who have creative control over the movie.

Among the wilder stunts was the warehouse Legendary Pictures turned into a Japanese monster theme park to promote Godzilla, and Ubisoft, the video game company, firing cannons from a pirate ship docked behind the convention center to generate buzz for Assassin's Creed 1V.

  This year's telecast of the Golden Globe awards has earned two Emmy nominations. The show, broadcast on NBC on January,  was nominated for the Outstanding Special Class Program and for Outstanding Writing for Variety Special.

   The Pablove Foundation is one of the many charities that receive an annual grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press and this year is no exception. It will receive $7,500 towards teaching photography to children with cancer.

  The Jerusalem Film Festival is the most important film event in Israel and for the past 30 years it has screened hundreds of Israeli movies, some of which went on to win major awards around the world. This year however, the stars of the festival were two Muslims, directors Mohsen Makhmalbaf from Iran and Ziad Doueiri from Lebanon.
