THE RESTORED 1948 MASTERPIECE “THE RED SHOES” TO PREMIERE IN CANNES ON MAY 15

 The Red Shoes,the newly-restored 1948 masterpiece from directors Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival as the Centerpiece of “Cannes Classics” section on May 15. HFPA ANNOUNCES TIMETABLE FOR “THE 67th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS” TELECAST WILL BE AIRED LIVE ON NBC NATIONWIDE FOR FIRST TIME

Contact: Michael Russell                                                             (310) 939-9024                                                                                                                                                        FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                                 HOLLYWOOD, CA, April 2, 2009 – Jorge Camara, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association®, announced the timetable for “The 67th Annual Golden Globe® Awards” to be broadcast in HD Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 5-8 PM (PST) and 8-11 PM (EST) live from The Beverly Hilton on NBC.             “In this age when news is disseminated with increasing rapidity, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is delighted to announce that this year’s Golden Globe Awards telecast will be aired live nationwide,” said Camara.

HFPA ACCEPTING NEW MEMBER APPLICATIONS

HOLLYWOOD, CA, February 6, 2009 – The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced that it will now again accept applications from professional journalists who wish to become members of the organization.            In order to qualify for membership the applicant must have a permanent, primary residence in Southern California, qualify under the HFPA Active Member definition, be registered with the Motion Picture Association of America in their International Directory for at least one year preceding the date of the application, and be sponsored by two active members of the HFPA.
