Al Pacino receives the Best Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama Golden Globe for Scent of a Woman, directed by Martin Brest, at the 50th-anniversary ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, January 23, 1993. Jodie Foster presented him the award as the previous year’s Best Actress in a Motion Picture-Drama for Silence of the Lambs.

First place on the US chart went once again to How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. DreamWorks and Universal's third series entry made $30.
