Dennis Hopper

Dennis Hopper (born in Dodge City, Kansas, May 17, 1936, died May 29, 2010) directed the counter-culture movie Easy Ryder (1969) costarring with Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. He acted in The American Friend (1977) directed by Wim Wenders from the 1974 novel Ripley’s Game by Patricia Highsmith, Apocalypse Now (1979) by Francis Coppola, Blue Velvet (1986) by David Lynch, Hoosiers (1986) with Gene Hackman, Speed (1994) with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. He directed Colors (1988) starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall, The Hot Spot (1990). On television Hopper acted in Paris Trout (1991) directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, and the series Crash (2008).
