Kris Kristofferson (born in Brownsville, Texas, June 22, 1936; died Sept. 28, 2024 in Maui) a singer, songwriter, acted in movies like Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973) by Sam Peckinpah with James Coburn, Blume in Love (1973) by Paul Mazursky, The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea (1976), Semi-Tough (1977) by Michael Ritchie with Burt Reynolds, Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (1984) by Martin Scorsese with Ellen Burstyn, A Star is Born (1976) with Barbra Streisand, Heaven’s Gate (1980) by Michael Cimino, Rollover (1981) by Alan Pakula with Jane Fonda, Trouble in Mind (1985) by Alan Rudolph, Lone Star (1996) by John Sayles, A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries (1998) by James Ivory. Kristofferson acted on television in Freedom Road (1979) with Muhammad Ali. He won a Golden Globe as actor in a musical/comedy for A Star is Born.
