Steven Yeun

Steven Yeun (born December 21, 1983, in Seoul) began his career as a member of the Second City comedy troupe in Chicago but was not widely known until he was cast in the series “The Walking Dead.” He made history as the first Asian American actor nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 2018 film, “Burning.”

He later starred in Bong Joon Ho’s “Okja” (2017), Lee Isaac Chung’s 2020 “Minari,” and Jordan Peele’s “Nope” (2022). He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work on the series “Beef.” In 2021, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
