2019 Red Carpet

On Monday, December 9 the announcement of the nominations for the 77th Golden Globe Awards will take place at 5 am/PT (8 am/ET) – don’t miss them! The announcement starts the clock ticking on an exciting countdown to the Golden Globe Awards which celebrates the best in Film and Television and can be seen on NBC on January 5, 2020. In the interim, stylists will be digging deep to make sure their clients stand out on the red carpet.

The young are doing things that only the young can do: messing with tradition and creating new trends. Women hogged the flashlights with dramatic outlines and statement hair, makeup and colors on the red carpet this week.

While there was color, black dominated the night at the Golden Globes Ambassador celebration at Catch in West Hollywood. .

Black is perennial and pale blue blossoms. Soft colors have surged throughout the previous season and this week soft blue patterned the carpet again.

Sometimes it feels like the stylists get together and decide the hue for the week. They don’t.

Color virtually disappeared on the carpet this week but when it was there it couldn’t be ignored.

There’s a crop of young talent splashing over our screens this season, while also bringing a new ethos to the red carpet. Over the next months we’ll be showcasing talent to watch – and their style choices.
