As is tradition the Golden Globes Foreign Film Symposium took place at Hollywood’s historical Egyptian theater. Organized in conjunction with the American Cinematheque and moderated by the HFPA’s Sam Asi the symposium packed the house for a Q&A with the nominated directors from France, Holland, Germany, Iran and Chile vying for the 74th Foreign Language Film Golden Globe.

For his groundbreaking role as transgender Maura Pfefferman, Tambor receives his third consecutive Golden Globe nomination (he won two years ago).    He talked to the HFPA about the reach and influence of the show after three seasons on Amazon.

Nolte plays Graves, a former US President who decides to spend his life fixing the mistakes he made while in office after googling himself and discovering his legacy was appalling.   Streaming on EPIX, the show features several real-life politicians who make cameo appearances, like Rudolph Giuliani, Barney Frank and Michael Steele.

Executive-producer Glover leads the cast as Earn, a Princeton dropout who tries to manage the rap career of his cousin in a desperate bid to reclaim his life.   The show was renewed by FX for Season 2 two weeks after it premiered, a reaction to the critical plaudits that took Glover completely by surprise.
