75th Golden Globes Anniversary

A diamond anniversary just doesn’t happen every year. It’s one of those momentous occasions that inevitably makes you think back and take stock.

Gold has long been a favorite of stars walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Over the years stunning styles have manifested in an endless variety of the shimmering shade.

The 75th anniversary of the Golden Globes will not only be remembered in years to come for Oprah Winfrey’s show-stopping Cecil B. deMille acceptance speech, but also for the solidarity on the red carpet and inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom for the #TimesUp movement, espousing equal rights for women.

Going into the 75th Golden Globe Awards, the race seemed wide open for Best Motion Picture, Drama. Coming out of the evening, however, it was a different story as the surprisingly comic but dark drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri captured four major awards: Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Sam Rockwell.

The 75th Golden Globe Awards are in the books and it was, certainly for us, a memorable Anniversary! A celebration of the best of the year and, yes, perhaps something more. A moment of reckoning and resolve, a shared realization of something of real importance afoot.

Host Seth Meyers, HFPA president Meher Tatna, dick clark productions CEO Allen Shapiro and producer Barry Adelman were on hand at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, for the official rollout of the red carpet. The tradition marks the start of the final countdown to the Golden Globes ceremony which will take place Sunday, January 7 5-8 PM (Pacific) and broadcast live on NBC.

The HFPA will partner with Facebook for “The HFPA Presents: Globes Red Carpet Live,” the official red carpet pre-show for the “75th Annual Golden Globe® Awards. ” This new partnership expands the reach of the Golden Globes across social media and brings the global community closer than ever to Hollywood’s Party of the Year™.

After getting nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Live Action Short Film category in 2013 for Henry, Montreal film maker Yan England does not disappoint with his feature film debut, 1:54. The film made a splash in French-speaking Canada, generating a wide debate in society about its main theme, bullying in schools and how to prevent it.
