Anya Taylor-Joy

2020 wasn’t too bad for Anya Taylor-Joy. She starred in three films, Emma, Here Are the Young Men and The New Mutants and her Netflix limited series The Queen's Gambit became a phenomenon.

  The Queen’s look … inspired by the chess queen. Cap and coat are from heavy and hairy alpaca wool, the buttons are made from rolled stripes of the same fabric.

Anya Taylor-Joy plays fiercely independent characters in three movies this year: Emma Woodhouse in Emma directed by Autumn de Wilde from the 1815 novel by Jane Austen, Marie Curie’s daughter Irène in Radioactive by Marjane Satrapi with Rosamund Pike, and Marvel Comics' superhero Magik/Iliana Rasputina in The New Mutants.   She also plays teenage chess prodigy Beth Harmon in the limited series The Queen’s Gambit, created and directed by Golden Globe-nominated screenwriter Scott Frank from the 1983 novel by Walter Tevis.

Anya Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy is an English-Argentine actress born in Miami in 1996. The youngest of six children, she is the daughter of an African-Spanish-English mother and a Scottish-Argentinian father.
