Star Wars is an ongoing phenomenon that has enticed generations of fans all over the world for five decades. So, it is no surprise that there are regular celebrations on every continent each year.

One of the most prolific and eclectic actors of his generation, Golden Globe winner Ewan McGregor has conquered the box office in action adventures, sci-fi, comedies, thrillers, and in both large and small budgeted movies. He has even lent his voice to cartoons.

Ewan McGregor spoke with the journalists of the Hollywood Foreign Press in 1999 about playing a young Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode One-The Phantom Menace directed by George Lucas. “I was six when I saw the first Star Wars, and I was blown away by seeing the film the first time when I was that age, it’s a great age to see it at.

In the morning before the Los Angeles Premiere of the Disney film Christopher Robin  we met Golden Globe winner Ewan McGregor, the star of the movie, a stylish actor born in Scotland and now living in California. During the interview he mentioned music and how much it has affected his life growing up.

Twice nominated Ewan McGregor bursts on the world stage with Trainspotting (1996) and will soon be seen in the 20-years-on sequel to that film (also based on an Irvine Welsh novella and helmed by Danny Boyle). In between he has starred in more than sixty films, garnering Golden Globe noms for Baz Luhrman’s Moulin Rouge (2013) and Lasse Hallström’s Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.

In a career spanning two decades Ewan McGregor has appeared in over 60 films. This year he premieres his directorial debut American Pastoral, an adaptation of the Philip Roth novel of the same title.
