Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon on “Fargo”

Noah Hawley’s stylish Coen Bros. inspired, Northern noir anthology series Fargo is in its third season. In its three-year run it’s collected a bevy of critical accolades, including eight Golden Globe nominations and two wins: for Best TV Limited Series and Best Series Actor for Billy Bob Thornton in 2015. This season the cast is headed by Carrie Coon (fresh off the final run of The Leftovers) as Gloria Burgle, the no-nonsense police chief (well sort of) of tiny Minnesota hamlet of Eden Valley. She is investigating the murder of her own stepfather, a crime which may or may not implicate the brothers Stussy, both played by Ewan McGregor in a tour de force performance. Here’r what they told the HFPA’s Herve Tropea.
