If Ewan McGregor is suffering exhaustion or sleep deprivation from making at least two movies a year and being a father of four young girls, there’s no way you could tell in person. Married for 20 years to the French production designer Eve Mavrakis, McGregor finally moved his family to Los Angeles after years of commuting from London to jobs and auditions.

Famous for both his shyness and the incredible intensity he brings to his roles, Daniel Day-Lewis (56) is a complex actor, who takes long breaks, sometimes of several years, between the parts for which he goes to extraordinary lengths to prepare. The three-time Oscar winner is the son of the British poet laureate Cecil Day-Lewis, with whom he had a complicated relationship.

Composer Alex Ebert takes a few minutes after his win at the Golden Globes to talk to the HFPA about what it was like writing for All Is Lost and what he is going to do with his new statuette.

Golden Globe excitement is building  with the announcement that Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde and Aziz Ansari will reveal the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards nominations on Thursday. Also on hand will be Sosie Bacon, the 21-year-old daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who is Miss Golden Globe 2014.

The two funny ladies are coming back to the Globes! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will once again host our annual awards show in January----and want to return the following year, too. "It's wonderful news," said HFPA president Theo Kingma.
