First-time Golden Globe 2023 nominee Jeremy Pope may currently be seen on Broadway starring as the legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in “The Collaboration. ” This role is Pope’s triumphant return to stage since he made history in 2019 as a two-time Tony nominee in the same season when he was nominated for his performances in both “Choir Boy” by Moonlight co-writer Tarell Alvin McCraney, and “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Time of The Temptations,” written by Dominique Morisseau.

Even with his start in Royal Shakespeare Company and BBC productions, Paul Bettany himself probably did not dream that someday, he would play a red-skinned android on WandaVision. And that he would earn his first Golden Globe nomination for portraying this alien in a sitcom-type TV mini-series.

Paul Bettany plays Marvel Superhero Vision in the TV series WandaVision and a gay man in the 1970s in Uncle Frank, written and directed by Alan Ball. He spoke to HFPA journalists in 2002 and 2003 about his wife Jennifer Connelly.
