  As we continue our 80-Day Countdown to the 80th anniversary of the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, we soon will arrive at Day 50: 1992 (on December 10th), the year that saw the Jonathan Demme thriller Silence of the Lambs walk away with the coveted Best Picture Golden Globe. In honor of that milestone, we are rewinding to listen again to my own podcast episode with Sir Anthony Hopkins, recorded on September 26, 2018, when the Welsh actor was starring in the TV movie, King Lear.

English cinematographer Polly Morgan is full of praise for Gina Blythewood-Prince, the director of her latest film, The Woman King. “The most incredible thing about working with Gina is that she brings people together in a way that I have never seen,” Morgan tells HFPA member Margaret Gardiner in the newest episode of the “Golden Globes Around the World” podcast series.

Last month, HFPA member Silvia Bizio recorded a conversation with director Peter Bogdanovich on the 50th anniversary of his 1971 Golden Globe-nominated drama, The Last Picture Show. With his sudden passing on January 6, 2022, we are presenting this podcast with our sincerest sympathies to Peter’s family and friends as we celebrate his legacy and listen to the colorful stories of his life and career.
