Millions of people around the world watch the Golden Globes show on television every year but only a few people get to see what goes on behind the scenes. The key to the Globes is that the show puts everyone in a party mood because it has always celebrated the fact that stars drink at their tables and get loose and have more fun than they do at those big, tense, serious Oscars.

Funny, witty, charming, talented, sexy…what else can you ask from Bradley Cooper?The 39-year-old former Georgetown University English graduate has proven himself to be one of Hollywood’s most reliable and bankable actors. From playing the popular villain Sack Lodge in the hit comedy The Wedding Crashers to playing Phil Wenneck of The Hangover trilogy, Bradley has also bagged nominations for his performance as a former mental patient who was suffering from bipolar disorder in Silver Linings Playbook, where he earned Indie Spirit, SAG, Golden Globe and Oscar nominations for Best Actor.

[jwplayer player="1" mediaid="24752"] The Hollywood Foreign Press Association kicked off the Golden Globes weekend with its annual symposium of foreign film directors, featuring interviews and q and a sessions with this year's nominated directors. Moderated by former HFPA member Mike Goodridge, the symposium was conducted in conjunction with American Cinematheque at Hollywood's Egyptian Theatre and was preceded by a reception at Sadie Kitchen and Lounge across the street.

New Yorker David O. Russell burst onto the scene in 1994 with the darkly comedic Spanking the Monkey, and has made a name for himself tackling difficult subjects with humor.

This year’s nominees for Best Original Song are all strong contenders and it’s anybody’s guess who’s name will be called on Sunday night. “I don’t know if I’m too old to say this, but I really like the books,” says Cold Play’s Chris Martin, who co-wrote the music and lyrics to “ATLAS” for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE with Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion.
