HFPA ACCEPTING NEW MEMBER APPLICATIONS

HOLLYWOOD, CA, February 1, 2006 – The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced that it will now accept applications from professional journalists who wish to become members of the organization.             In order to qualify for membership the journalist must have a permanent, primary residence in Southern California, qualify under the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Active Member definition, be registered with the Motion Picture Association of America, in their International Directory, for at least one year preceding the date of your application, and be sponsored by two active members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

NEW AWARD CATEGORY FOR BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM COMMENCES WITH 64th ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBES
