La HFPA® suma 103 nuevos votantes a los Globos de Oro

La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA® por sus siglas en inglés) anunció hoy la incorporación de 103 nuevos votantes internacionales al proceso de consideración de los Globos de Oro. Esta es la primera vez en la historia de la Asociación que se ha agregado un grupo de votantes no miembros para seleccionar a los candidatos y los premiados, duplicando el tamaño del cuerpo de votantes y aumentando su diversidad.

The HFPA Announces the Sponsorship of the 20th Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced its sponsorship of the Academy-accredited Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, a nine-day event for independent and established African American filmmakers to showcase, screen, and promote emerging feature, documentary, and short films from across the world. The HFPA will present a panel discussion on its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in support of access for underserved communities in Hollywood and international journalism.

The HFPA Announces the Election of New Board Members

According to its new bylaws which mandate staggered election terms for its Board of Directors, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the election of two new directors, Vera Anderson and Earl Gibson III, and the re-election of two directors, Barbara Gasser and Tina Jøhnk Christensen. “At this important time of transition, we welcome the contributions of our newest directors Vera Anderson and Earl Gibson III,” said Helen Hoehne, President of the HFPA.

The HFPA Announces Historic Transformation With Member Approval of New Strategic Vision

In a historic vote by its membership, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), announced the approval of Eldridge Industries LLC’s (Eldridge) proposal to create a new private entity to manage its Golden Globes® assets and preserve its charitable and philanthropic programs in a separate non-profit entity. “This is a historic moment for the HFPA and the Golden Globes®,” said Helen Hoehne, President of the HFPA.

The first Forum launched by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the World Bank Narrating Behavior Change Program had the headline “Global Challenges Require Global Solutions,” and centered on innovative partnerships between the entertainment and development sectors. Several crucial questions were asked, and several profound answers were given, challenging Hollywood and global content creators to join forces and expand their focus on edutainment – immersing audiences in engaging stories while providing useful information.
