Golden Globes: the 2000s’ Beautiful Fashion: Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Rosario Dawson, Harrison Ford, Javier Bardem and More

2003 Jennifer Aniston, 60th Golden Globes

The 2000s Golden Globes were a glamorous,  natural, modern look we’ve come to appreciate.

Always a fashion leader as the first awards show of the season, the Golden Globes is a must-see for any fashion aficionado. It sets the standard for every show that follows and heralds the color, hair, and make-up trends for the year.

Street fashion was having a flashback to the 80s which had, itself, flashed back to the 60s. Jeans slipped from the waist to the hips. Leggings and workout clothes started sliding into everyday rotation. Cargo pants meant you always had a pocket to put everything in, and hair and faces became beautiful.

The Golden Globes during the decade of 2000s were lush. Figure-hugging gowns showed off fit bodies. Hair was ‘done’ but not to extremes. The effortless style became the watchword as stars started working with stylists and fashion houses collaborated. The goal: beauty, glamour – and the celebration of the best in the industry.
