Weather Advisory for Westeros: Winter is Coming!

Yes, and so is Season 6 of Game of Thrones, possibly the most anticipated return of one the biggest shows on TV, on account of the shocking (what else is new…?) cliffhangers we were left with at the end of Season 5. And the urgency is heightened since showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have said this is the beginning of the end and the Golden Globe-winning saga will probably wrap with just 13 more episodes once this sixth season is over: seven episodes for season 7, then six more for the eighth and potential final season. This is also the first season to shoot without the benefit of a book by George R. R. Martin, but based on original screenplays – so the story is even more uncharted. We confess, we were among the Happy Few to see the pilot episode at the Hollywood premiere screening. Alas, since spoilers are punishable with a one-way ticket to the King’s Landing dungeons, we obviously can’t say much but we did talk to some of the stars of the show about where the story is heading. Here’s what Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (aka Jaime Lannister) had to say.
