Two years ago Gina Rodriguez’s bright charisma and irrepressible energy won her accolades and a shiny Best Actress Golden Globe as the star of Jane the Virgin, Jennie Snyder Urman’s comedy-telenovela. Down to earth and with one of Hollywood’s brightest smiles, Gina has not stopped making true believers of fans and critics since. At the end of Jane’s second season she has been honored as one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People (along with four-time Golden Globe nominee Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and she is set to star in the cast of Peter Berg’s upcoming Deepwater Horizon. Ramzi Malouki spoke to her about her journey of the last couple of years.
