Alonso Aguilar Candanedo is a Costa Rican-Panamanian freelance writer, lecturer and programmer. He has written for Sight and Sound, Hyperallergic, The Brooklyn Rail, among others. He’s also done preselection work for Encounters Film Festival and London Experimental, and programmed for independent theaters and community centers in Costa Rica. He is a voting member of the Golden Globes and The Latin American Critics’ Awards, and a member of FIPRESCI and the International Cinephile Society.
