I’m from Manaus, the largest city in the Brazilian Amazon. I hold a degree in journalism from the Federal University of Amazonas and a postgraduate specialization in cultural journalism. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree focused on analyzing the practice of film criticism in the state of Amazonas. In 2014, I founded Cine Set, the leading website on cinema and TV series in Northern Brazil. I am a member of Abraccine – the Brazilian Film Critics Association – and also of FIPRESCI – The International Federation of Film Critics. I’m passionate about awards season, which I cover in depth on Cine Set’s YouTube channel throughout the year.
