Letícia Alassë
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Letícia Alassë is a journalist and researcher on communication, culture and psychoanalysis. Since 2016, she is an international reporter, writer and film critic at the website Cinepop. She graduated in Social Communication from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Brazil and earned a Master in Culture and Communication from the Paris VIII UniveBorn in Rio de Janeiro, Letícia Alassë is a journalist and researcher focused on communication, culture, and psychoanalysis. Her research explores the discourse analysis of the European gaze on Third World countries through film criticism.
Letícia is a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics (Abraccine) and of FIPRESCI – the International Federation of Film Critics. She has served on the jury of several international film festivals, including the Cinélatino Festival in Toulouse (France) and the El Gouna Film Festival (Egypt). She has also covered major film festivals around the world, such as Rio, Cannes, Berlin, and Toronto. Since 2019, she has been based in Paris.rsity in France. She develops studies from the perspective of the discourse analysis of the European gaze on third world countries through film criticism. She is also a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics (Abraccine) and has covered several international festivals, such as Rio, Cannes, Berlin and Toronto. She has lived in Paris since 2019.
