Born in Rio de Janeiro, Letícia Alassë is a journalist and researcher on communication, culture and psychoanalysis. Since 2016, she is an international reporter, writer and film critic at the website Cinepop. She graduated in Social Communication from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Brazil and earned a Master in Culture and Communication from the Paris VIII University in France. She develops studies from the perspective of the discourse analysis of the European gaze on third world countries through film criticism. She is also a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics (Abraccine) and has covered several international festivals, such as Rio, Cannes, Berlin and Toronto. She has lived in Paris since 2019.
