Xingxu (in Chinese his name means Stars & Rising Sun) is a quadrilingual film journalist and editor (CH, ENG, ESP, FR). He began writing about film at Phoenix New Media, where he interviewed directors and actors including Nicole Kidman, Greta Gerwig, Ruben Östlund, and Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Bi Gan, Shu Qi. His work focuses on thoughtful conversations around narrative, style, and the role of cinema in different cultural contexts. With a background in Hispanic philology and discourse studies, he is particularly drawn to films that explore language, memory, and identity.
