Salome Kikaleishvili
Salome Kikaleishvili is a Georgian cinema critic, journalist, and lecturer based in Lisbon, Portugal.
She is a full member of the European Film Academy and serves on the committee for the European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI award. A Golden Globes International Voter (80th and upcoming 83rd editions) and FIPRESCI member since 2007, she is actively engaged in the global film community, including through FIPRESCI’s editorial and social media teams.
With extensive experience in media and cultural journalism, she began her career as a freelance journalist for 24 Hours and contributed to the art magazine Tskheli Shokoladi, covering contemporary culture and cinema. As executive editor of Cinema magazine, she focused on international film festivals and cinematography.
Her editorial and content work spans both print and digital platforms, including leadership roles at Tabula, National Geographic Georgia, the Tbilisi International Film Festival, and the Georgian National Film Center. She also coordinated the ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in the Eastern Partnership countries.
As a lecturer, she has taught Cinema History at leading Georgian universities and Culture Journalism at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.
