Tilda Sixue Li
Tilda Sixue Li is a freelance film journalist, researcher and translator based in Beijing and London. She has worked for several top Chinese film and entertainment outlets including World Screen, Movieview, Beijing Youth Daily, WSJ China, Deep Focus, and Douban Movie Pro. She has covered the most prestigious film festivals and pop culture events including Cannes, Berlinale, La Biennale di Venezia, London Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, San Diego Comic-Con, etc. She holds two master’s degrees from Birkbeck, University of London and Beijing Film Academy, majoring in film curating and programming, and film studies. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at Tsinghua University, researching in journalism and communication. She has experience in programming for various film festivals including Beijing International Film Festival and Filming East London. She is also an in-house researcher for Lean In Media, which aims to bridge the film industry and cultures between China and international countries. Her latest translation publication is the Chinese version of Tom Shone’s “Nolan Variations: The Movies, Mysteries, and Marvels of Christopher Nolan.”
