Director David Schurmman had a very unusual upbringing: born in Brazil, he graduated college in New Zealand and, between one landmark and the other, spent most of his life on a boat, crossing the Earth’s oceans with his family. Little Secret, his first feature film after a career in TV and documentaries, showcases this very special point of view and beyond: it is, in essence, the story of his family.

Khan took the stage to present the International Excellence in Cinema Award to Chinese film director and screenwriter Jia Zhangke, Bachchan presented the award for Indian Excellence in Cinema to director and screenwriter Sai Paranjpye.

Gael García Bernal is one of the most talented Mexican movie actors, now branching out to American films and television. Last January he was awarded a Golden Globe for his starring role as a specially gifted musician and maestro in the Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle.
