English actor, comedian, and writer Brett Goldstein has scored his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor - Television by playing the grumpy but lovable star player turned coach Roy Kent in Ted Lasso. His first job on the award-winning show was as a writer, but after working on several episodes in the writers’ room, he had an epiphany.

But Sarah Snook, honored this year with her first Golden Globe nomination, for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film, also serves up the show’s most expansive rolodex of highly GIF-worthy nonverbal reactions, from arched-brow bemusement and expressions of withering judgment to sublimated anger and swallowed denials of pain.

Actor Tahar Rahim, who grew up in an Algerian family in Belfort, in eastern France, says that from his teenage years, he was in "semi-hypnosis" whenever he was watching a movie. “It was a teenager’s dream,” he told the HFPA of his attraction to the world of acting.

For 39-year-old New York City native Kieran Culkin, this year’s Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor-Television marks a wonderful moment in his career but is not the first one in his young and brave trajectory. This is his fourth Golden Globe nomination, the third for the role of Roman Roy in the Golden Globe-winning drama series Succession.
