Knight of Cups is Terrence Malick’s eighth released feature and like many of his films it is unique film making. The SyFy Channel’s The Expanse imagines a mid-range future in which humans have colonized the Solar System. People have widened their habitat – but their nature hasn’t changed much, and that is the purview of police detective Josephus Miller (Thomas Jane), a post-terrestrial cop who was born in the asteroid belt and whose missing person investigation into a young woman’s disappearance uncovers a vast conspiracy which threatens the very continued existence of humanity.
