Golden Globe Moment: Kevin Costner,1991

Kevin Costner holds the two Golden Globes he won for Best Director and producer of the Best Motion Picture-Drama for Dances with Wolves (he was nominated for Best Actor for the same film) at the award ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, January 19, 1991.   It is not uncommon for male actors turned directors to win two Golden Globes- Robert Redford, for example, did it in 1981 for Ordinary People but did not attend the ceremony.

Golden Globe Moment: Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, 1958

Tony Curtis, winner of the special award for World Film Favorite with the presenter, his actress wife Janet Leigh, backstage at the Golden Globes, Wednesday, February 26, 1958, Cocoanut Grove, Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles. Tony Curtis won World Film Favorite again in 1961 and was nominated for Best Actor in 1959,  for the Best Picture-Drama winner The Defiant Ones - his costar Sidney Poitier and director Stanley Kramer were also nominated.
